I came home the other day and had 55 e-mails, all from yahoo about new answers to my Question. i did not ask for this facility.
I went onto edit and deleted same thing. They are still coming through, I again went onto edit, unticked the box, but the messages are still coming through! Why?
i would have posted this question on Yahoo but I am unsure as to which category I should be in.

Uncheack the box, check over everything carefully, and MAKE SURE YOU SIGN OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT CORRECTLY. Don't just close the window on the screen, and think you're done. Make sure you're absolutely sure that you are signed out and it should work out.

If you forget to check the email notification box when you submit your question, you can always edit it once it's posted by clicking on the "edit" button and choose the option to stop sending email notification for new answers. I've done this before because it's fun to get a few new answers, but after a while it gets overwhelming.

After you have unchecked the box asking if you want to receive e-mails or not, make sure you then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click PREVIEW - which will take you on to the next page where you click on - OK.
That should sort it out for you.

After you edit your account make sure that you leave the edit page correctly. You cannot just close the page....after you change what you want to you have to click on *finish* or *change* at the bottom of the page. I am not sure which word is right, just look for something like that at the bottom of the page

I uncheck the box about receiving notification to my answers. I had way too much mail to sort through.

Just do what they sez, don't know which one worked -- but when I had the problem I solved it the same as anything else ---- just play with everything until you get it right, it's always a pleasant learning experience.

You can't refuse the emails about answers, it says so clearly on the bottom of each email. One of the joys of participating on YA. You can read em or just delete em but you can't opt out of them.
