The first time I ate sushi was at a friend's wedding reception when I was 20. I assumed that there would be a typical sit-down meal at the reception, so my boyfriend and I didn't eat anything before the wedding. But at the reception, the only thing to eat was sushi and crackers...no meal or anything, no wedding cake, nothing to drink. So I tried the sushi because I was starving...it was awful. But I ate sushi at a Japanese restaurant this year, and it was great.

I try not to think when eating raw fish. There are some really good recipe books on Sashimi and Sushi; pictures and everything! Is there a bookstore near where you live? This is a subject best left to a picture recipe book or one on one lessons. Pop into the bookstore, find an appropriate book, find a chair, and start reading. Within ten minutes, with the help of the picture references, you will be ready to head towards the local fish monger's establishment.

I will never eat Sushi. Accidentally ate raw fish in Winter Kimshcee while we lived in Korea. I don't know which is worse; raw oysters or raw fish.

Hah, it was a free sample at Kroger grocery store. I thought, "Wow. Free sushi. I like rice. . . so. . . maybe I'll like sushi?"
I hated it; I'm just hoping that it was sitting out too long and not actually bad. I'd really love to try sushi again.

I would never eat raw fish after my Foundations of Parasitology class in college. Come to think of it, I don't eat cooked fish either.

I would not try it even if they paid me. The idea of eating raw meat does not appeal to me.
