all my life i struggled. i have been homeless with three kids, waited three days sometimes to eat so my kids could, almost got killed by my ex, beat up, let down, and molested. so this is for the people that look down on me. i deserve this one time to spend on myself. oh ye, i did give 1000 to the salvation army because they had helped me out.

I spent about $100 on myself I mean if I'm out and see something I like I usually get it. To tell ya the truth I think more people should by themselves things for Christmas. I mean people are so busy and concerned with everyone else they forget to treat themselves usually. I think that could be why people are such asses around Christmas. I mean yeah one should get gifts for people they love, but nothing is wrong with buying yourself that new coat or a pair of shoes or a new TV if your out see it and like it. Also important that ya don't go and by something someone maybe getting you. =) Other than that I say go for it!! Heck you can get some really good deals around Christmas time! =)

So far, I have not spent about $40 on myself. $20 on gas to travel to a different town to get my girlfriend a ukulele and probably about $20 on food for myself during shopping for others. I will probably spend about $35 more on myself today. I'm going home for the first time in a year and I have lost some weight and I'd like to get a nice outfit (that fits).. just jeans and a sweater so I look nice to see my family. I think I can probably get something less expensive. I know Old Navy is having a huge sale right now.

Well, aren't we proud of ourselves? You've missed the point of Christmas altogether my dear. Even if you have no close family or friends to buy presents for, you could've taken some of that thousand or so and given it to a charity where some child in need could have a Merry Christmas.
Yes, there are times when one should be nice to themselves, but Christmas isn't one of those times to be boasting about it like that. Shame on you.
Yes, I did buy a few creature comforts for myself this year, but I also made doggone sure my FAMILY, especially my grandson, got their presents first!

I wouldn't brag too much about that. Sounds a little self centered in my opinion.

Nothing, Chritmas is not about spending money. If you have spent, excellent and no harm. It simply means you have spent some money.

i presumed the belief of Christmas became into to sell happiness and love and all that jazz... funds is the financial ingredient of it that has bugger all to do with the religion, so why in the international might it make a blind little bit of distinction?

yeah at this time of the year you should be thinking more about other people and less about yourself, you sound greedy, selfish, and do not understand what christmas is all about
