what is the bright area on my laptop?

I have an HP laptop less than a year old. There are 2 bright spots near the top corners, the spots are about 1.5cm in diameter. What caused them?

They are just brighter than the rest of the screen, everything still shows but is brighter.

send it back to HP before the warranty expires.

It's the sign of a poor quality screen, I am afraid.
