I don't know they are dance majors but they aren't going to find a job paying $100-300 a day anywhere else for 3 hours work

You don't honestly think any girl in her right mind would get naked for $6.50 an hour, which is what the girls waiting tables make at those clubs (plus tips, which amounts to $50-100 day for 8 hours works) or at K-mart stocking shelves!

Those girls make more than the average person with a Masters degree makes!

Some of them make $25-$50 per Polaiod picture just to put a leg over some guys arm while they are in costume!

Some of them get their pictures on billboards that stay up for months or years on end.

I don't think that a lot of strippers do have dance majors, nor did most of them finish high school. Of course, many of them will tell you that they're stripping just to pay their way through college, but I think you know the truth. You don't have to be a good dancer to be a good stripper; guys don't shell out the cash for how your body moves, they shell out the cash for your body itself and your attitude.

I'm sure that they are able to find other jobs, but not one that pays nearly as well as stripping. If you don't mind the line of work, it's not too bad a profession.

there are several reasons...and sometimes it depends on the part of the country they live in...people with dance degrees are generally liberal arts majors and that means that at some time in their lives they have wanted to go into ligit theater, from Broadway to the big screen...and some just don't make it...it is the reason you see really pretty women waitressing in Cali or NY....some never make it...and the money is too good to pass up...and then again there are some girls who just aspire to pole dance

Not that I've dealt with a lot of exotic dancers, but I NEVER met one that had had a ballet lesson much less a college education majoring in dance.

Being a dancer requires good condition and lots of practice. You might as well get paid for exercising every day.

I'd be willing to bet that most strippers barely made it out of high school.
