I always loosely wrap my dogs present so he can tear it open. I have a different dog this year since my other precious pet passed away this past year. I cant wait to see how he reacts to Christmas. He is a pound puppy and was a stray so I doubt he has ever had a Christmas present before. This is exciting for me.

We put out two cat's gifts in a gift bag without any tissue paper. They look inside because they're curious, then they knock the bag over and get inside to get their presents. Once the presents are out they play with the bag. They don't bother with the new toys while we are around for at least a couple of days. We know they play with them because we find them throughout the apartment. I guess they just don't want to let us know right a way that they like the toys.

Well, I just got a pet last Christmas. Maybe I'll let him open his gifts this year! If he can manage it...

Merry Christmas!

They get stockings, not wrapped presents.

We have 3 cats, 2 dogs, a rat and a horse. I'm NOT wrapping all of the things we get for them. Thats WAY too much wrapping, and I suck at it as is.

I really can't encourage the dog to be tearing open packages because he smells something yummy in there. So we have the kids help him. They get a kick out of it.

Yes, and all the other presents too, if we are not careful. Our 2 cats like to scratch anything they find in their way.... :-S

But they are lovely, so we forgive them!

No, she didn't understand the concept of gifts, and didn't know what that thing under that tree wrapped in that stuff was
