In a less than convincing 'Christmas video message' from Kate McCann to her missing daughter Madeleine, Kate assures “Be brave sweetheart”.

How on earth is a poor defenceless 4 year old child meant to 'be brave' ? and is this what the McCanns said to the children when they left them alone every night as they went down to guzzle copious quantities of wine at the Tapas Bar with their child neglecting mates ?

Do these two cretins make you as sick to the stomach as they make me, how on earth are these no-brainers still allowed to 'parent' children ?

Yes, I found this 'appeal' just as sickening as you did. What a pity they didn't put as much effort into their parenting as they have subsequently put into their PR campaign. Watching the video of the children opening their presents last Christmas really brings it home how utterly innocent and defenceless these little mites are. How can anyone defend parents who deliberately leave their children in a vulnerable situation?.

Those who find this question uncharitable should just think about this for one moment:- by continuing to insist that they did nothing wrong in leaving three infants alone in an unlocked apartment next to a main road in a foreign country, the McCanns have set a very dangerous precedent.which may lead other parents to do the same because they know they will get away with it. It is this refusal to accept responsibility for their neglect that sickens me most about these people.

Would you feel as sympathetic towards the McCanns if, as part of this 'appeal', they were filmed tucking the children into bed, leaving them alone in the house with the door unlocked and going down to the local pub to meet their friends?

How can they ask the child to be brave when god knows what is happening to her. I wish they had told madeleine that they regretted leaving her and her brother and sister alone for the whole of the holiday. I really do think that the McCanns should be grateful that only one child went missing that night for an abductor could have taken all three he had the time to. My thoughts are with Madeleine I feel so sorry for that little girl. But my feelings of blame are shifting back towards Robert Murat, he was there watching and saw everything that was happening. Happy Christmas Madeleine wherever you are.

“Be brave sweetheart”, says it all! Is this 'woman' for real? I was just settling down to enjoy my tea, when her droning lying voice echoed round the room!

Your question answers perfectly, they are incredibly the most vilest and incompetent, puke revoking people I have ever had to suffer! and how they ever became Doctor's let alone parents is beyond my understanding! Those poor twins, stuck with them, what hope do they have?

i watched it and it was terrible. there was no emotion in gerry's face at all. and kate seemed to be forcing the words out. even when they wished her a merry xmas they stayed calm. i could not if that were my daughter i was giving the message to...i would be in tears.
and to the pros...dont say the usual thing...they've been told not to show emotion.......cos that is sh ite. NOTHING would hold back the tears if that had been me.

AGREE, apparently they had to stop filming because Kate was crying, mmmm, o.k why weren't Kate's eyes red from crying and why have we never seen the McCainns cry, real tears, what is wrong with everyone seeing real tears? it's been done before on t.v but not with the mccanns. why?

As a mum who takes mine to the docs for injections, I know, I say be brave and they are not brave at all! They cry. Then you say "weren't you brave" and the child says " not really I cried".
They can't be brave, they are crumbling inside. They need their parents to hug them through the bad times.

Typical Yahoo saddo. You've got nothing better to do than come on here asking stupid questions about the McCanns, making your opinion very clear in the processs.

At the end of the day, this poor family are without their child at christmas.

I bet you have no children. Because you seem quite heartless.

My thoughts exactly 17pdr. It's not a natural thing for a parent to say to a missing daughter.

I find it incredibly hard to warm to the McCanns. I have tried desperately hard to see it from their side but honestly, I still cannot believe that they were stupid enough to leave three children under the age of three - it still astounds me. Sadly, as usual, it's the innocent ones - in this case Maddie, who pay the price for other people's stupidity and lack of judgement. Those parents chose to leave their children - on that night they would have discussed their child care options and decided that leaving the kids alone was absolutely fine. It really does beggar belief and I think they do need some kind of help from social services in parenting.
