hi I have an account on youtube, so I was wondering if I uploaded some movie sections on youtube..is that illegal??

Technically yes, and if you tube catches you, they will erase it and could end up suspending your account. I've seen it down by other users for uploading new songs by artist., so do it at your own risk

You are allowed to upload sections of movies, as long as it isn't the full movie. If you upload the full movie it will be taken of the site and you can possibly get banned.

If what you upload does not have a copy write, then it's ok.

if they are copyrighted then yes. if they are your movies that you made with your camera or something then no.
