It looks like we turned a corner during election season but it's just a ploy to encourage conservative support. Besides one of the least favorite presidents in american history would never get elected for a third term. It's not rational thinking at all to even ask this question.

No, No, No, and No. This is a war of choice by a man that used 911 to settle old scores and make his contributors wealthier, and passed the bill and the bull to the American people both in dollars and in the life's and limbs of the brave soldiers that are also paying the price. This along with his attempt at shamnesty has and will harm our country for decades, why in the world would we want more of the same

The law states that no one candidate can be elected for more than 2 terms.
According to some, George W. Bush wasn't elected in 2000, but rather "appointed" If they are right, perhaps we do not have to change the law.
Unfortunately, the same people who say that he wasn't elected, would have heart failure if he believed them, and ran for a third term.

I don't think he even wants a 3rd term, doesn't he seem tired and sort of over it now. I think the reason Washington really didn't want a third term wasn't because he didn't want to be like a king, but just because 8 years in that job is more than most can handle.

Why not make Bush "President-For-Life" like in the other bankrupt "republics"? This will insure the Democrats don't get elected in 2008.

That's one thing the republicans did right! Limiting the terms of the presidency to two terms! But then again that was a time when true consevatives ruled the party!

Seeing that it's not a law that can be changed and is one of the major foundations of the Constitution, I would say YES it's too late..

I agree on letting him take his sorry old a#s to Iraq and let him finish the mess he started. But as to a 3rd term are you bushwhacked or what? Let this end.

I think he is looking forward to getting out of office. I know I would be if I were in his shoes.
