Ok, long story short, my husband and I just lost a child. At the hospital we were given, along with the memory box, a 10x13-ish size card that says "In memory of..." and gives his name and birth stats, then at the very bottom has his hand and foot prints. Then we were given a large vase of flowers, and I decided to take one of the flowers and tape it in the center of the card and press it, then put the whole thing in a picture frame. It occurred to me that once the flower was flat and pressed, that I wasn't sure if I would be able to get it in the frame without losing half the petals. Does anyone know how to successfully do this? Thanks

I'm very sorry for your loss.

Just a little dab of glue to the back of the flower (apply with a toothpick) will hold the flower in place until you can carefully lay the glass on top of the flower. Make sure everything is completely dry though, you don't want trapped moisture to create mold.

You have to press the flowers. If you don't, they'll just wilt and turn brown. There are flowers that dry nicely, simply in the open air, but most do not. Put the flowers into a big book and set them aside for a couple of weeks. If you don't have a book, borrow one from somebody or pick one up at a yard sale. Put a weight on the book -- something heavy like a rock, etc. . . . what ever you have that's heavy. After a couple of weeks, take out the flowers and glue them to the backing of the picture frame. It's best to use rubber cement, but just use whatever you have. Let them dry until they're no longer sticky and then you can put them in the frame. I'm sorry about your baby.

My condolences on your loss.

Press the flowers between paper towels in a book under some heavy furniture for a couple of weeks. Then when they are pressed, add them to your card. Here is how
