To the best of my knowledge all of the appearances were done as a onetime thing. Obviously anyone that appeared is on good terms with WWE so there is always a chance for a return on down the line, but as things stand right now everyone that you saw last night will not be shown again. That’s not to say that some former talents couldn’t have impressed company management and opened negotiations for a return.
Rob Van Dam also said during a recent interview that he does not feel that WWE should be testing of marijuana. He said that when you are dealing with things such as anti-depressants or painkillers, weed should be the least of WWE's worries. If you remember, RVD was busted by police last year with Sabu after winning the WWE Championship smoking marijuana. If you fail a marijuana test in WWE you are not subject to suspension but are fined for the violation.
However, WWE management definitely took note that RVD got a huge pop on the Raw 15th Anniversary, and would definitely love to have him back on the roster.

I hope RVD signs with TNA. The Raw special was a 1 time deal for RVD. I know the WWE wants to sign RVD long term but I don't think he will. For starters the WWE now includes marijuana in the drug testing. RVD admits that he smokes marijuana on a regular basis. So he couldn't pass the tests so why bother to sign with them.
In TNA he would wrestle less (which he wants) and be able to spend more time at home. RVD only said he wanted to take time off, he didn't say he was retired from wrestling. So I think TNA would be the best fit for him.

I think Van Dam's done with wrestling. If he were going to go to TNA, he would've went the year he left the WWE, while he still had some fan heat. I personally think Rob's done with mainstream wrestling, at least for awhile. I bet he's watching Jericho's return and progression in the company very carefully, because if RVD is coming back, he's coming back to Vince, and I ain't talking about Russo.
Even if he did go to TNA, it wouldn't put a dent in their ratings. If Angle and Sting can't get them over, nobody will.
