I doubt it was caused by sex because I hadn't had intercourse with anyone in at least 2 weeks time and if something was wrong I'd think I would of felt it before. It's just itching on the outside of the opening of my vagina. I don't have any discharge and I can't get to my doctor yet because I'm out of the state. I just want some insight on what may be causing it. I was feeling it before I had sex yesterday so I don't think it was from him. Please only answer if you might have an idea. I don't want in smart *** remarks like (go see a doctor now which i clearly said i cant in another week) or anything like that. Thank you!

There are medications that you can buy over the counter to put on the outside. They work very well to stop the itching.

There are a couple of probably causes i can think of. One is that you might have yeast infection. Dont worry they are easy to treat and just require you to pop down to the nearest chemist and pick up a thrush treatment such as canasten ect. Just ask the chemist and they can sort that out. The treatment usually involves a capsule and some cream for itching/burning. Another is, that you've possibily been shaving down there and might have a shaving rash or some ingrown hairs. For some reason it tends to itch and can be really iritating. You could also have some kind of iritation down there from something. Try changing your undies to cotton ones which allow your lady bits to breathe easier. Perhaps it is the soap you are using. Some soaps change the P.H of the vagina and may cause itchiness. Other than that you might have one of those itches like you sometimes get on other parts of your body that you cant get rid of. If it continues to itch obviously you'll go and see the GP as you've said but if it doesnt then im sure you'll be fine =]

Go buy some vagisil anti-itch creme. You probably have a yeast infection. The vagisil anti-itch creme will help take the itching and burning away.

Unless you've shaved down there, you probably have a yeast infection which can be cured with prescribed medications
