For posting a question " Brits, creators of the modern world?" i get the question removed as a violation.

All i did was list a series of UK inventions, including the Web, Computer and English language, and waited for people to either agree, disagree or partly agree with the content, which they have every right to do!
give a violation? Is it because this is a USA Q & A site?

someone reported the question as offensive and yahoo automatically pulls the question. Its a load of crap.ive been penalized many times because someone didnt like an answer i posted to a question, the process is unfair at best,I once posted a question about the process and yahoo pulled it on their own probably because I questioned their so called process for abuse.

If someone gets a personal vendetta against you, the violations will come. You do not have to break a community guideline to get a violation. I contested several, and got the standard form back assuring me that Yahoo was looking into the matter. Regretfully, I had to block a few people. I have now heard of two overturned violations from a reliable source, but I assure you that real people are not checking the reports with any regularity. Good for you if you care to take them on, but don't hold your breath! I personally give a thumbs up to everyone who answers my question unless they are rude or very crude, and generally do the same on questions I answer.

There are a bunch of idiots on here who have such little in their lives that they go about reporting people who dare say anything that remotely looks like it is saying the Britain is the best. Some people are reported just because these sad little ignorants don't agree with them
To them this is an "agree with me or else" site. The mature posters on here can handle people disagreeing with them but these people can't. It must be something to do with the way they were dragged up.
Watch this answer disappear soon!!
i don't give the thumbs down for disagreeing with me. just if it is unjust or rude. I dont block people for not agreeing with me but i will if they give personal insults and judge my personality even though they have never met me.
Just ignore them, they are not worth worrying about. I actually have a snigger at their pathetic posts. sad really

All you need is for ONE person with a personal agenda to make a baseless complaint, and you question....or answer gets pulled. I had it happen to me. I did not say anything vulgar, racial, sexual or threatening. I think I used the word "idiot", and wham.....it got pulled. Perhaps I did not need to resort to that, and I do apologize but.....I think pulling it was a little too politically correct.

My feelings are this: If you are going to make statements in public that are stupid, then as long as those who respond are not using threats, or making insults regarding race, religion, ethnicity or sexual orientation, or uses awful profanity, I don't see any real harm in using words such as "I think that's stupid." Or, "You must be an idiot to belive that."

But, you and I don't call the shots.

I guess people thought you were some sort of extremist. I don't know. Probably because it is a USA Q&A and the way that American history is taought in schools it is very biased. After all it is their country not mention the English and Americans did not split apart on good terms.

The Yahoo Watchdog society is unrelenting in it's shameless effort to demoralize and discourage at random and without concience, those who dare to vilolate the letter of the law...
...The Brotherhood shoots first, but doesn't then, ask follow up questions...they have one stamp only:"Guilty as Charged"..

I saw that question. I thought it was interesting but didn't respond to it. I can't understand why it would be a violation. There was nothing wrong with it. Unless Yahoo saw it as chatting or a not a question. Weird.
