would seem like a smart move to me getting the fiscal conservatives on his side.

I agree that they disagree on many issues but to get the most important job in the world, it would not surprise me to do a move like that.

That my friend would never happen as Obama would never ask Ron Paul to be his running mate no more than Ron Paul would ask Obama.

Ron Paul would not accept a Vice Presidency from someone that is so against everything that the Constitution stands. Ron Paul has said so himself.

We'll never know, because no political insider (and despite the image he projects, he's very much an insider, part and parcel of the corrupt Chicago political machine) will ever piss on his party by appointing someone of the other party as his VP!

I don't think Obama would ask Ron Paul to be his VP. They are pretty much polar opposites.

Yeah. But R.P. would never (he has said so) go under a president who he totally disagrees with so why ask.... Lets just keep working to get the word out and hope for the best!

Ron Paul 2008!

I am curious as to why you are asking the question. Is this wishful hoping on the part of a Ron Paul supporter?

As a mental "what if" exercise (for the record, I don't think it would), it would have novelty appeal for a bit, but in the end probably wouldn't make much difference. Let me ask you: how do you think both parties would react to such a choice?

Cheers.

Folks, it ain't about "victory"! Elections are SUPPOSED to be about the election and selection of the person most qualified and suited to do what is best for the country on international AND domestic fronts.

Obama "winning" would be the Peter Principle in action at this time. Maybe after his ego cools down and he gets some REAL experience....

Ron Paul would create a MAJOR disengage for this country from freedoms that are in place. (Please go to his site and REALLY research what he is about.)

In my opinion, Dennis Kucinich is the ONLY candidate in BOTH major parties who is best suited and QUALIFIED to redeem our International name and create FAIRNESS for ALL of "We The People".
(Thumbs down me ONLY after you have studied his issues stances and then disagree. UFO B.S. be damned!)
