I recommend using Avast because it's free and cleans every single virus in you Hard Drive. AVG is good, but it's slow and only detects the virus not actually cleaning it all off. Yep, Norton is good, but it's expensive, if you have any money left, you can use this. It's really worth the price but if you're on a budget, use Avast.

Against all my pleading, my son visits myspace a lot and is constantly getting viruses from some of the more stupid people there. ...Yes he is stupid too!

We used to use AVG but it was not effective enough in all of the cases to keep the computer clean after his visit to myspace so then we discovered Avast. It detects and cleans out virii that AVG would pass over or AVG would tell me the virus was there, but it couldn't clean it out. So my sugestion is for you to try Avast: http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Like Johneye says it is a lil late to be installing an antivirus program after you already have the virus. But if you have a flash drive that has the new U3 system on it, you can install Avasts' U3 version to the flash drive, (using a different computer), then you can scan and clean your infected computer via the flash drive in the usb port.

CCleaner is basically a dedicated cleaner which cleans the unwanted files in your computer...for eg. when you download or open any file or site, at many places it is registered in your computer that is not needed by the computer to work.....its a wonderful software that frees unwanted space...
Norton is basically a dedicated anti-virus.....
I sugess to still install CCleaner

You can find a free download of ccleaner here http://bit.ly/1sJimp9

I use AVG anti-virus. I have tried several others before but this is the best in my opinion. It is not so intrusive as many other anti-virus solutions.

I prefer McAfee. Its the best i have ever used, Although if you want a free security center then go to google and type BitComet then download this management software then go to www.torrentspy.com and then download spy-doctor, or any any anti-virus, but remember to download torrents of this software then use bitcomet to download for ex; spy-doctor then go to the download folder i think it it located in My computer than install the program than its going to say for keys than you go pack to torrent spy then you search for key generator spydoctor than you again use bitcommet to download this key than you use the key..........hope this works...
