Why are some people so adhereant to stereotypes? Does it give them a sense of unity, or a feeling of belonging? And why do they choose to relish in the negative and consider it the norm?

Some people are just not aware they can have a life better than the one they are currently living. Too often, people chose to stay in their comfort zone and not branch out to better their current situation.

People adhere to stereotypes because they are in the process of development. Due to a lack of unity in society and negative cultural stereotypes in the media, some people react in an aggressive way because they feel unable to aspire to them.

i like your profile pic. i love it. its so futuristic and different.
just thought i'd say that.

its easier for people to live their lives with assumptions. we all make them, but sometimes we make them to hurt others. its human nature for people to discriminate against somebody else because they do not like themselves. america was based on insecurity, capitalism, greed, vanity, all the deadly sins are insecurities. land ownership, ownership is an insecurity.

people stereotype because...it makes them feel better, to know what a person is like...look at them and put them in categories, we all do this. why? its what we have been taught? i wonder how much of an individual i am, or how much of an individual others ae, when we are so socialized and conditioned...

i think people also do it because they are insecure, and they need to see another down and falling, to make themselves feel better...they don't want to see another person happy, so they bring forth negativity...

either way every man, woman, minority, homosexual, etc. is not all the same, sure there are similarities, and we like to put people in categories...but the truth behind it is, stereotypes and pointing people's differences just harms society...instead of making it better..humanity suffers!!! we suffer!!!

Stereotypes are needed for lazy minds. It is extremely easy to assume something than to find out or even admit that you don't know. Ignore those ppl.

WTF?

Stereotypes were formed because alot of people applied to it...

alot of types stereotypes are the "norm" but it's bad to use stereotypes because not EVERYone applies to it..

you shouldn't worry about other people's conformity...
