My nan who outlived 3 husbands and 2 of her sons. She used to drink 3>4 bottles of Harvey's Bristol Cream a week, did her own DIY and grew her own vegetables until 2 years before she died at 2 days short of her 103rd birthday.
She didn't sleep much and so she watched all the snooker and darts etc on late night TV and knew about all the players.
She had 2 good sayings:-
1) it's just a phase they're going through- that covered all bad/irrational behaviour/fashion
2) a good war would sort 'em out- for when 'the phase' went on too long !

Some bird who worked in a shop near me.
I fancied her for years.
Then one day i chatted her up and found her to be common tart.
Changed my whole view on women.
I now realise there is more to a pretty face and you must take time in getting to know a person.
My mum on the other hand trained me well,so im not fooled by women and see them for what they are 99% of the time.
Women think with there brains and are more dangerous than men.I now no all the tricks women use.
Men think with their dicks and like sports cars.

My grandma had the greatest influence on my life.
My dad treated me like crap when I was little and she stood up for me, she attended every basketball game I had (even checked herself out of the hospital to go to one), and spent every second she could with me. I'm just glad that I was able to repay her by helping her out with things before her death last year.
Merry Christmas

My Mum, she was disabled, spent most of her life in pain, had several very serious illnesses (including losing a lung to TB, and later her leg) yet she was always cheerful and never self-pitying and always there for others! She was never 'Too busy' when you needed her!

My grandmother. She raised me...she made alot of sacrifices for me, and always gave me what I wanted/needed with little to no complaint. She wants more for me then I do for myself..to me, thats unconditional, when someone actually cares more about you then they do their own self...I wish one day I could be more selfless.
