All babies spit out some milk. As long as it's not forceful vomiting it's probably normal. She/he may be taking in too much at once or may have gas. Try stopping to burp baby in the middle of the feeding. Also, bottle fed babies tend to take in more air. If you are bottle feeding, be sure the nipple hole is not too large and also burp more often.

Surely sounds like the milk did block the airways. Maybe it got back into the lungs. Dont mean to scare you but any lack of oxygen to the brain can cause damage. No matter if it is a baby or a adult. I would just keep an eye on her and if your worried ask a professional about a scan.

Yes babies do have reflux.I have twin grandsons that are about 4 months old and they had the spitting up problem that you speak ofI will share what the dr.advised.First they changed their milk to Similac Ailementum (soy ) than she advised them to add a teaspoon of rice cereal(infant formula)to each bottle also to give them about 1/2 oz of pedialite between feedings. We also use Dr.Browns bottles and infant gas drops. Thye are doing fine now. Good Luck

All babies spit up after they eat, or in between meals. Its not a problem. Make sure she's burped well.
If she's vomitting up everything she eats at every meal THEN theres a problem like reflux.
BUt every baby spits up a bunch after eating.

How much is he/she spitting up...almost the whole bottle? Is it just spit up or is it vomit? My baby spits up a little every other bottle at least..but it's not much. Try burping him or her more often throughout the bottle drinking.
