I've been teaching for 6 years and I have never seen anybody that didn't want to learn not be able to ride intermediate runs by the end of the first season. Just be determined and don't worry about what anybody thinks - and have a good time.

Learn how to fall first
Get good pants and jacket
Have Fun

Good Luck

i just learned about a year or two ago, and it wasnt difficult at all. i was riding diamond runs after five or six runs (that doesnt mean i was actually good, but i could do it :D) im still learning. toe turns are the hardest things for me to do, make sure your heal is secure in the boot, or it will be difficult to turn. hope i helped somewhat!
