Whenever I study stuff like that, i never read the textbook, or something boring like that. There is no use of studying like that. But heres how you can use the textbook. Get a couple of friends over, and then look at the textbook together. But dont study the textbook. Make it fun. Try different ways to remember things. Make jokes. Stuff like this will cause you to remember thing so much easier. I used to hate history and geography, but this year i have an awsome teacher who really knows how to help us study. Good Luck!

read the section in book. make your own notes. study those notes and the ones she gets from class. study groups also worked really well for me. just have to keep an eye on them to make sure that that's what they are really doing! tell her to get some of her girlfriends together and just highlight key points in notes and take turns reading sections. one person is bound to understand more than she does. make sure the goup isnt too big. no more than 5 ppl. too many ppl will casue too many distractions. and only study and hour a night. too much studying is not good because you tend to forget more information. hope i helped

For me, it works to write things down, or to draw the diagrams. For some reason my brain picks it up better if it comes through my hand to my brain, rather than just my eyes & ears.

oh, yeah!!!!!!!!!! i don't do history nor geography any more!!!!!! sorry, i couldn't resist... my advice would be to try to understand what you're supposed to be learning, because when you understand something, you are very unlikely to forget it. she could ask her teachers to please make time after school or during breaks, whenever is convenient, to explain it to her in more detail. good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
