An MBA is one degree where it really matters where you get the degree. The highest paying jobs requiring an MBA usually want a degree from a tier 1 school. These will be one of the top 15 business schools in the U.S. To the best of my knowledge, none of those schools have an online MBA program.
However, that does not mean that you can't get an MBA online and it does not mean that the MBA degree you get will be useless. My recommendation is that you get an MBA from a well-known state university. There are a few that have online MBA programs. An online MBA degree from a state university will look no different than a traditional MBA degree from the same school. Therefore, you won't see the same bias as you would from a mainly online school like University of Phoenix.
Finally, in MBA degrees, accreditation also is an important consideration. The absolute minimum accreditation for an MBA degree is regional accreditation by one of the six regional accreditors. This type of accreditation covers an entire university and doesn't accredit the business program itself. A little higher on the accreditation list is ACBSP accreditation. This is the type of accreditation that the University of Phoenix has for its business program. Finally, the best accreditation for a business school program is AACSB accreditation. For human resource people who know accreditation, this is what they will look for. Both ACBSP and AACSB require regional accreditation for the university and both accredit business programs. However, AACSB is the more widely known and accepted of the two.
Here are some recommendations for you:
University of Florida online MBA

Mississippi State University

There are no good online universities. Employers will do two things when they see your resume. The first is laugh. The second is to throw it away.
That being said -- there are some respectible MBA programs that have distance learning components. Duke University's Global Executive MBA is one of the best.

Online MBA programs are worthless. You would make better use of the money setting it on fire.
If you must take some classes online, that's no problem. Lots of students do that nowadays, and most good MBA programs make those available. But some part of the experience has to be hands on, or else all you're really learning is theory.

TO the guy above. Not all online programs are worthless. Yeah UofP takes your money, but they have set a trend. Univeristy of Texas is offering undergrad online classes, Harvard is as well. You will see a Masters program from a major University soon, you'll change your tune
