You've told us all you are around 10 weeks pregnant and having a boy but have now realised you are an idiot because the sex is not identified until usually 18-20 weeks. How stupid you are.

Hi. I found out Im having a girl at 18 1/2 weeks. Usually its more around 20 I think. It also depends on how good the person is and how long they have been doing ultrasounds that helps a lot :)

doctors most often use ultrasound to confirm the sex of the baby, this is usually done around 18-22weeks(depending on the doc) when they perform the morphology scan on the baby,to see if all is well in development and growth..but they can also do an amniocentisis which is more accurate that ultrasound in confirming the sex,but once again i dont think they do this until around the same time...

15 weeks. But 18 is better.
oooookay, these women were lied to or misinformed or something. The genitals dont even FORM until week 13, until there theres NOTHING THERE. You absolutely cannot see the sex of a baby before 13 weeks, and at 13 weeks they look exactly the same, since the testes and the lips of the vagina look EXACTLY alike.
Its basic human biology for God's sake, they need to pick up a text book.

at your 18-20 week ultrasound scan. or if you have been for a serum screening , then you would be offered a amniocentesis at about 14 weeks which tests for abnormalitys this would also let you know the sex of your baby. you can buy tests from america also but they cost about 300 pound.

I found out with my second that it was a boy around 14 weeks. I am a nurse in the hospital, though, and we were playing around with the U/S machine.
Routinely, you're not going to have an U/S at 14 weeks. So 18-20 weeks is when you'll usually find out. It's possible to know much earlier, however.

Like you've been told, 18 weeks is usually the standard. That is, however, kinda late in a pregnancy to terminate it, so be prepared to have a girl if that is how it turns out. Good luck.
