Gary Moore - No Reason To Cry
I love it , I've listened to it over a million times
http://youtube.com/watch?v=RMqwzwJNoV0
If you listing all the way through, there's an awesome solo !
You may not consider this a true country song, however there's a touch of country to it !
Merry Xmas
If you could see inside my heart,
you'd see a loneliness right from the start.
Feels like laughing love has passed me by.
These days I need no reason to cry.
If you could feel the way I feel,
you'd know that every word I say is real.
Seems like laughing love can pass you by.
These days I need no reason to cry.
I always knew I would have to let you go.
The years go by and the only thing I know
is that I love you still.
If I could see your face today,
then all the emptiness'd be far away.
All the loneliness would pass me by.
Then I would have no reason to cry.

There is no absolute answer to this question. However, many experts have proclaimed "He Stopped Loving Her Today" (by George Jones) as the greatest Country song of all time.
In having to pick a personal favorite...... It's a tie between "Cross my Heart" by George Strait and Bob Will's "Faded Love."

"It's Been a Good Year for the Roses" and "He Stopped Loving Her Today" are my all time favourites. But, I love anything Alan Jackson sings, too. And, I'm really liking his newest song, "Small Town Southern Man". It is excellent! Love the more traditional country artists!

I've been told over and over that the best country song is "You Never Even Call Me by My Name" by Steve Goodman.

Unfortunately there isn't just one good country song, they all have a meaning or purpose!
George Strait........If your thinking of a Stranger
Conway Twitty.......Hello Darlin
Keith Whiltey.......When you say nothing at all
Travis Tritt........Best of Intentions
John Anderson....Swingin
Anything George Jones.....Hank Williams Jr.......
and the list could go on.........
Right now i'm liking the song Moments....by Emerson Drive!

Tracy Byrd..."Keeper of the Stars"
Probably too old for those here.
It was no accident
when I found you
Someone had a hand in it
Long before we ever knew
Now I just can't believe
you're in my life
Heaven's smilin' down on me
As I look at you tonight
I tip my hat
to the keeper of the stars
He sure knew what He was doin'
When He joined these two hearts
I hold every thing
when I hold you in my arms
I've got all I'll ever need
thanks to the keeper of the stars
Soft moonlight on your face
oh how you shine
It takes my breath away
Just to look into your eyes
I know I don't deserve
a treasure like you
They're really are no words
to show my gratitude
I tip my hat
to the keeper of the stars
He sure knew what he was doin'
When He joined these two hearts
I hold everything
when I hold you in my arms
I've got all I'll ever need
Thanks to the keeper of the stars
It was no accident
me finding you
Someone had a hand in it
Long before we ever knew
