I seem to remember my Grandma (who's a pretty big elvis fan and was around during his day) saying that he use to put black shoe polish in his hair to make it really dark, b/c he liked the way it looked on black people, and i think i also remember her telling me he had some black lineage in his family but that his ancestors hid it b/c of the racism back then. So most likely he was not racist.

From what I remember, Elvis was a very respectable man who was never unknowingly racist. I have never heard of him being so.

It really doesn't matter one way or the other now. He is dead and buried. His name lives on and it would be a shame for people to speculate about him. Let him rest in peace.

He stole songs and dance moves from Black people and failed to credit them. So that's a yes for me.
