This guy in a freaky mask went around murdering his friends and her framed this other guy so people killed him because they thought it was him, but in the end the guy in the mask ended up being the main character's boyfriend. Its complicated, but worth seeing lol.

Don't look now! 1973. One of the most intriguing films of the 70's. Richly creative with wonderful use of color and shades. Excellent performances. Deeply unsettling, quite brilliant psychological horror film about premonition and foresight. Not a mainstream movie like the other people posted here. Still one of the best scary flicks.

The original Salem's Lot! The town I grew up in was very similar to the town in the movie. When the older brother came to his friends window and started scratching and asking to be let in, that scared me so bad. My bed use to face my window and I would have nightmares about him scratching on my window asking me to let him in. Needless to say, my bed was moved away from the window. That movie still gives me the creeps today!

the final destination movies are really gory and suspensful, but not necessarily scary. they might give you nightmares though.
