"Holiday" (1938). Not very well-known, but it's one of my all-time favorite movies. A great, unique combination of comedy, drama, social satire/commentary, and romance. Rent it! You won't be disappointed.

I really like "Operation Petticoat." I was a Submarine sailor, and that movie still cracks me up! His droll wit aboard the wacky pink sub is a classic!

BTW, Tony Curtis got the part of the young Lt. because in his previous movie, "Some Like It Hot" he did a Cary Grant impression all through the flick! When Blake Edwards was casting the pic, Cary Grant requested young Tony Curtis!

Arsenic and Old Lace. Nobody plays the befuddled straight man to all the loons around him than Gary Grant. Those facials expressions of bewilderment of his, as he deals with his Loony Aunts learning of the 13 bodies they have buried in the basement, his Uncle "Teddy Roosevelt," and his creepy brother and sidekick, are classic. Definitely, Arsenic and Old Lace!

The Bachelor and The Bobbysoxer

Great cast, the timing was perfect, the soundtrack classic, and the story extremely funny.

I also liked Arsenic and Old lace as well.

That one is simply ridiculous in its humor and he was hilarious.
