Should there be Christmas trees in public spaces such as government buildings and parks?

And should the government even use the word Christmas?

Isn't this favoring one religion and cultural tradition over others?

No. It isn't harming anyone, so what is the problem?

No I don't think that Christmas trees should be banned because can't we put up a tree and decorate it. Here in the USA, we have free speech which is starting to slowly be taken away from us. If I want to call it a Christmas tree, then let it be that. Phooey on everyone that doesn't like it to be called a Christmas tree.
I received an email from someone about the Christmas tree. It isn't called a Allah plant, not a Hanakkah bush, But a Christmas Tree.
Merry Christmas

Hey ....I love smart people who do their research before asking questions ....Too bad that wasnt the case this time. Christmas trees arent even religious. As far as banning the word christmas, you must be one of those people who go running home with their tail between their legs because someone wished you a merry christmas. Get over it and plug your ears if you dont want to hear it. Im sick of people trying to ruin every holiday because they have issues with it. Dont like it? Dont celebrate it. Easy huh?

oh, and >>>>>>MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

Yeh there should be Christmas trees in public places because if your talking about in England most people celebrate christmas. Just cos immigrants & other illegal immigrants come over here it should reuin our celebrations. Absolutely not. Freedom of religion and expression. Personally, I would like to see more holiday expression from other religions as well. Mix it up a bit, it would be more fun.

No, people are taking this way too far. It's sad that we aren't supposed to use the word "Christmas" in our school systems....but I did anyway because I stand up for what I believe in.

They shouldn't. It's unconstitutional. The name of Dec 25th should be changed to Celebration Day or something like that to encompass all the special days people celebrate around now.
