You'll know the same feeling when Sabah and Sarawak or Penang want to seperate from Malaysia.

Besides Tibet, Taiwan is another problem of China too. These 2 countries are trying to seperate from China. If you ask the government of Hong Kong do they want to seperate from China, I think they'll say yes. But the Hong Kong people knew that it's impossible. So just accept the fact.

Tibet was a completely separate and independent country before China invaded in the 50's. There was no international intervention because Tibet has no valuable resources that the West can use (see Kuwait) China has oppressed and is deliberately destroying Tibetan culture. No governments will do anything to free Tibet because no one wants to piss China off - because of the political and economic backlash that will ensue when the worlds biggest market place decides it won't buy your country's exports.
Sad, but true - it's all about the money.

The world is too busy bashing the Muslims and they forget that the Tibetan needs their voice to be heard as well. I truly support the Dalai Lama and I don't understand why China is into harassing these peaceful people?
