I posted a few days ago when I got two positive home tests, and then a negative at a pregnancy center. I've had VERY swollen breasts (sorry if TMI) for the past week or so, naseau (especially after drinking coffee), frequent urination, and a few other symptoms. I waited about four days, then took another test that the pregnancy center gave me to take home. It came up negative this morning. Granted, both tests that were negative were from the same place. It would have been so exciting to tell our parents on Christmas! I'm wondering if there's any hope? I'm due to start my period today, and if it doesn't start by Monday, I may take another home test and see what happens. I'm pretty heartbroken though. I was so excited when I saw the two positive tests. Any encouragement or stories?? You guys were very helpful last time I posted :) Thank you.

i got a positive with a first responce test on Monday i then tested again on Tuesday and it was neg i went to the doc's and he took blood and confirmed i was pregnant he said i got the neg as it was still very early so there is hope merry Xmas

well don't lose hope because two positives are definitely a sign that you might be pregnant. It's extremely tough to get a false positive, but pretty easy to get a false negative. Maybe you're too early into the pregnancy but tested early in the morning when your urine was more concentrated so you got your positive. Then later on your went to the resource center and your urine was more diluted by drinking water etc etc. Remember that you should always wait (I don't care what those "5 days before missed period" preg tests say: it is always more accurate to WAIT till your missed period. I'm not one to talk though. I'm 11 dpo (days past ovulation) and took a test this morning and it came out negative. I'm hoping I skip my AF, so I can test again. But anyway, I advice you that you don't lose hope, and that you test again when you miss your period. If not sure, it's always best to go to a doctor or helathcare provider to do a blood test and see if you are (those are wayy more accurate). But I definitely think you are. Two "false positives" just can't happen ;) I truly wish you the best, and lots of baby dust to you!

I'm sorry to say it sound like you probably had a chemical pregnancy. Most likely they picked up the HCG, but now it has gone back down to below 25 that they aren't picking it up anymore, which means the preganncy didn't "take".
You may still have pregnancy symptoms for a couple of days.
But even so, if I were you, I would go get a blood test. They can test how much HCG there is and if it is going up or down. I wish I could give you encouragement, but because you got positives so early and now are getting negatives, it doesn't sound good. If it were the other way around that would be different.

It's not very likely to get a false negative on the test since the tests detect the HCG hormone in your urine. I use EPT Pregnancy tests and they are accurate 100% of the time in MY experience. I agree with the person above to get a blood test done. They can see the HCG levels rising and falling. It's possible that you could have had a miscarriage (sorry if you did!)

the ones from the doctors were probably dodgy or not suitable for early detection.
If you got two positives then you are probably pregnant. Its near impossible for a test to come up with a false positive as you have to have the HCG in your urine as that is what the test is detecting.
I'd be surprised if you weren't pregnant. Congratulations anyway, I think you are!

i went to work afer taking a test and getting the results of it being neg. i came home and i went to the bahroom to uuu well you know, and while i was on there i was looking around to find something to read and i grabed the test out and it said pos., that nigh i spent 58$ on test and all was saying something different, i went to the docs and i was, the reason for my reading was that i was only 8 weeks at the time and the hormones that detects preg, wasnt high enough, maybe thats what going on with you, any ways good luck!!!!!!!!!!

u shouldve called ur OBGYN as soon as u got a positive result, because they confirm ur pregnancy and then start u on prenatal care, i would by anoher hpt from the store, or just call ur doctor and have them figure it out. most likely the center's tests were crap

take a test with your first wee of the morning that will tell you if you are gud luck
