It was a song sung by a young guy in the early 1980's about his trip to Egypt. He visits many touristic places there; including the pyramids and the sphinx. He also goes to the barber and I remember the Egyptian barber was an old man that was smiling while he was cutting off the singer's hair.
The singer was a young man with round sunglasses and had short hair and (if my memory would not betray me) was wearing a vest.

I don't know, but you might do as I do. Call your local radio station and ask a disc jockey. He might know who the singer was.
