Sledding, ice skating...things like that. Should I stop soon after implantation may possibly occur or not until after I get a positive pregnancy test or can I still do those things for a few weeks after getting a positive??

well usually while ice skating there is a risk of falling especially while further along because your body has changed alot and you can get off balance easier. and any risk of falling can be a risk to the baby but i'm just wondering at what point in the pregnancy this is a risk?

I wouldn't do anything physical other than walking, swimming or yoga (under supervision).

Since you don't know when you will get pregnant i would avoid these activities till after ovulation and until you get either your period or a positive. If you get a period you could do it again till you ovulate and so on....

anything like horseriding, ice-skating, motor/bike riding, sledding, running etc..that involves some element of physicality and the risk of injury or serious 'jolting' or 'bumping' is probably best avoid. Sometimes it doesn't take much for women to miscarry. The first 12weeks from conception is usually the most likely for miscarriage. beyond that and the risk of miscarriage goes down.

Just use your best judgement as to whether its a safe activity for a pregnant woman.

I wouldn't want to be too far along and ice skating. I was all in the front and I have a shaky sense of balance Even not being pregnant. Anyhow it shouldn't matter until you are alot farther along. Its good exercise. You shouldnt really worry untill you start getting big. Ask your doctor about when to stop.

You should probably stop them completely once you start trying to get pregnant. Since the first few weeks are critical and delicate any type of trama might just undo what you want most...a healthy pregnancy. Of course if you're not trying to concieve then you wouldn't be asking this question...so I would say it's time to bench yourself.

unless you are having complications, you can do these things while pregnant. Go to your OB and have a prepregnancy consult. They will give you some vitamins that will help you and the baby. You can ask any questions then.
