medication such as harsh drugs with bad side effects to you, that have already damaged your body will effect the baby.. but just you taking an aspirin or cold medicene now and then won't harm a baby. But your doctor will advise what meds you can an cannot take while pregnant. Like you described,, your partner may not know your taking medication, tell him upfront all about it. Don't keep it a secret. If it's a pill for depression or anxiety, it's best you talk about everything in the open ,when you begin a relationship.

The right person to give you a proper answer is your physician who advised you in the first place to take the medication since the past 2 years. He would surely advise you whether the medicine need to be taken life-long or not. When you ask him about this during your next visit, it is advisable for you to ask him/her if the medicine would have an effect on your future pregnancy. I don't think anyone on YA can give you a proper answer on this important question as the reason why you were advised this medicine and your general health condition is something not known to others except your physician. If you feel not confident about the current physician's advice, you can surely take a second opinion from another competent doctor.
As the person above me has replied, whatever be the advice of your dependable physician(s), at the time of your marriage proposal, your future husband should be given an idea about this so as to avoid unpleasantness in future. You should also ask for similar information about the intended husband himself, to be fair to both parties.
Good luck.
