I am far from being religious although that does not mean that I don't believe. What about everybody taking there children to a church of their belief this year to show them what Christmas is really all about.....The shops have become to commercialised now and we only have ourselves to blame.
I reckon that if a survey was taken on children up to the age of about 8years old and asked them what Christmas was about I,m sure that the % would be quite high with the answaer being presents/toys etc.
