Having heavy periods is completely normal. If you're having troubles with leaking tampons, I recommend you switch to a DivaCup. I have very heavy periods and my tampon string would always be bloody - even after I had just inserted it! I finally got fed up with tampons and switched to a DivaCup. I haven't looked back since and it has kept me fully protected (: Best of luck!

I have really heavy periods and the doctors have told me that as long as I don't feel faint and that I can last about 2 hours in the same pad or tampon then I as ok.
If you are finding that you need to change more often then that, you need to see your doctor. Blood on the bed is normal for someone that is heavy but it shouldn't be that much. I would say only a small amount from leaking. If you are finding more then that and more then once during the same period you really need to see your doctor. Infact I would just go and see your doctor anyways if you are having concerns. Good Luck!!

Don't worry about it my love! I get it all the time. Just put an old towel or something underneath and make sure you have the most effective towel on!!! *grins* If you are really worried and/or you go through a lot of pain and/or something seems very irregular then you should see your GP. Otherwise, I'm afraid it comes with the territory, but don't worry about it. Be happy, and take it in your stride! :)

It's normal, but if they are like that all the time, you can talk to your doctor about going on birth control pills to ease them up some.
I used to have very heavy periods like that and did most of my life.

It is very normal for the first several years; but, too much bleeding can make you anemic, so you might want to consult a doctor as well as take extra iron, but beware of too much iron as this can damage the liver.

Not being a woman it is hard for me to answer this question, but having experience with this I think I can give u some input. Depends on how old u r @ if u have had sex? My first girlfiend had very heavy periods until we got together, but if this continues u should see your doctor.

and if not then you should go see your doctor. he will probably prescribe birthcontrol to regulate your flow. and cycle. hope this helps and mabey you can just go to a planned parenthood or soemthing so it doesnt cost as much to see the doc.
