Every day, the message of being kind and generous has been delivering everywhere from every direction to everybody. However, people seem meaner and meaner than ever. Why? Please offer what you think to share; I will post what is in my mind. Thank you for your paricipation.

Well, if your questioning if kindness and generosity pays off, I'd say yes. Absolutely.
The reward of knowing you truly helped someone or that your kindness really lifted someone's spirits, is an extremely gratifying experience.
It also gives meaning to the old saying 'What comes around goes around'. If you are not kind to others and vengeful and hurtful, you will certainly feel the effects of your actions.
It's natures way of letting us know when we are on the right path or not. My grandmother always told me..the best revenge is living well. If you really think about that, it makes perfect sense.

By asking this question you only mean that you would like to show your kindness and generosity but others whom you have observed are not so. Yes this is true.Not only individuals, groups, whole organizations and nations seem to behave like that. But there is always the ideal that remains as the distant goal that many would like to pursue This goal or value being kind and generous. We have also met a few and we have also acted that way many times to our hearts content. So these values will remain and will be operative for some people on some occasions and by many to some extent.

It does. Unfortunately, not many people try to practice either. I generally avoid most people (except close friends and family) because I am kind and generous, which can depress me a bit when I get disappointed by the actions of others.

i admit that all human values and not only kindness and generosity are vanishing by the time but this doesnt mean that they r not found anymore the real reason beyond this is that ppl are caring for another things and doing everything without berating their selves
