www.ingender.com has alot of different ways to try to get the gender that you desire. but they also have an ongoing survey on there that people answer what they tried to get a certain sex and what they ended up having. the survey prooves to show that any method that you try on your own without the doctors and moneys help is really only 50/50. Our last day to have sex was 4 days before I ovulated and we had a boy. I've read the shettles method and it claims to be over 70 percent accurate at getting boys and just less than that at getting girls because the cut off day is further from ovulation and the chances aren't that great when you have sex further than 3 days before ovulation..still possible but not likely.
I believe that it really is up to god at how many and what sex our children will be. Does it really matter if you think about it?? Boys can do girly things like cooking and helping clean and girls can be little tomboys and like boy things. I was a little tomboy when I was little, i hated dresses and all that other girly stuff!!! I'm now almost 23 and have a 16 month old son and I love doing both girl and boy stuff! My son really loves cars and transformers but he also has an interest in helping mommy cook and clean.
So as long as you would be happy with either another boy or a girl go ahead and try for a girl by one of the methods but if you are going to be dissapointed if you get another boy then please don't try at all!

There are no guarantees but here are some things you can try.

The boy diet / girl diet theory holds that altering your body's pH through diet may influence the polarity of the egg (if it has one), or make the vaginal environment more or less hospitable to sperm.

Diet high in potassium and sodium for a boy.
Diet high in calcium and magnesium for a girl.

Here is a website all about gender selection: http://www.in-gender.com/Gender-Selection/Natural.aspx

Some people say to take: Lydia Pinkham's Herbal Compound .

According to the Shettles method:
Shettles says in order to increase the chances of having a girl, you should have sex everyday from the end of your period up to 2 1/2 to 3 days before ovulation. After this point, do not have unprotected sex until several days past ovulation. Intercourse further away from ovulation favors the larger slower moving X (girl) sperm. The weaker Y (boy) sperm will die more quickly in the more acidic preovulatory vaginal / cervical secretions and by the time of ovulation there will be a much larger concentration of X (girl) sperm available to fertilize the egg.

Shettles suggests that if you are trying to conceive a girl, shallow penetration from your partner, preferably with the missionary position, will deposit the sperm closer to the entrance to the vagina. This area is more acidic than closer to the cervix and acidity will work against the weaker "boy" sperm leaving more "girl" sperm available to fertilize your egg.

When trying to conceive a girl, Shettles recommends that you don't orgasm during sex as the body produces substances after orgasm that makes the vaginal environment more alkaline, which favors the "boy" sperm. The contractions which accompany an orgasm help move the sperm up and into the cervix, giving the "boy" sperm an extra chance at being available when your egg is available for fertilization.

The shettles method is what you need:

the Shettles Method is based on the premise that sperm carrying the X and Y chromosomes have different characteristics and that you can influence the reproductive environment to favor one or the other. While there is some controversy surrounding both the credibility and the morality of the method, here's how the theory goes:

It is the sperm that fertilizes the egg that will determine the sex of your baby. Some sperm carry the X-chromosome and some sperm carry the Y-chromosome. If an X-chromosome-carrying sperm fertilizes the egg, the baby will be a girl. If a Y-chromosome-carrying sperm fertilizes the egg, the baby will be a boy.

The idea behind the Shettles Method of sex selection is based on the premise that the X and Y chromosome carrying sperm have different characteristics and that under different circumstances either X- or Y-chromosome-carrying sperm will be more likely to fertilize the egg.

The Y-chromosome-carrying sperm are said to:

be faster and smaller than the X-chromosome carrying sperm.
die faster than the X-chromosome-carrying sperm.
The X-chromosome-carrying sperm are said to:

be slower than the Y-chromosome carrying sperm.
be better able to withstand the acidic cervical environment before fertile cervical fluid is produced.
Based on these premises, according to Shettles, you can time intercourse, choose a sexual position that favors conception of your preferred sex and influence the reproductive environment to increase the likelihood of conceiving your preferred sex. These are the suggestions from Dr. Shettles:

To Get A Boy (According to Shettles):

Time intercourse as close to ovulation as possible: The idea is that since the Y-chromosome sperm are faster than the X-chromosome sperm, there will be more Y-chromosome sperm who reach the egg, making it more likely that a Y-chromosome carrying sperm will fertilize the egg.
Abstain from intercourse for four to five days prior to ovulation. Have intercourse only just at the time of ovulation and just before.
Have intercourse that allows for deep penetration. Shettles recommends rear-entry (aka, “doggy-style”). The idea is that the sperm will be deposited closer to the cervix where cervical fluid is most friendly to the Y-chromosome sperm and where the “boy sperm” are more likely to survive since there is less distance to travel.
Men avoid tight clothes: heat kills off both types of sperm, but will kill off the less protected, smaller Y-chromosome sperm faster, according to Shettles.
Women have an orgasm: According to Shettles, female orgasm increases the alkaline secretions in the vagina that are favorable to the Y-chromosome carrying sperm. Shettles recommends having an orgasm before or at the same time as the male partner.
To Get a Girl (According to Shettles):

Have intercourse 2-3 days before ovulation and avoid intercourse just before ovulation until 2 days after ovulation and when you have peak cervical fluid: The idea is that when you have sex a few days before ovulation, only the X-chromosome “girl sperm” will be left in the female reproductive tract waiting to fertilize the egg when it is released.
Have intercourse with shallow penetration: Shettles recommends “missionary position”or any position that will deposit the sperm slightly away from the cervix, giving advantage to the longer living, but slower X-chromosome-carrying sperm.
Women avoid orgasm: Shettles suggests women avoid orgasm because it makes the vaginal environment more alkaline, and less acidic and is disadvantageous to the X-chromosome “girl sperm”.

How can I conceive a girl?

To improve your chances for conceiving a girl, you should BD a 4 to 2 days prior to ovulation, and abstain two days before and day of ovulation. This will allow the slower, longer-lived, female sperm to be ready for fertilization when ovulation does occur. Conceiving a girl is more difficult since you are abstaining on your peak fertility day.

How can I conceive a boy?
Time BD to occur the day before and the day of ovulation. This will allow the faster male sperm to get to the egg first.

the female chromosome X of the sperm "swims" slower but lives longer than the male Y.
so, if you have sex 2-5 days before your ovulation, when you ovulate the male chromosome won't be alive anymore, but the female will be.
Of course the little slight problem is to figure out your exact ovulation day... The only think you can do is buy an ovulation kit, have sex the days before it turns positive and stop having sex from the day it turns positive and for the next 3 days. Best of luck, and congratulation for your 2 boys!

They now have ways of screening sperm to increase your chances of having one sex over the other. Ask your doctor if they can do it and how much it would cost.

From Health Class, I recall that sperm can last up to 1 week inside the woman before it dies out.
