Is it normal for a woman not to need intimacy after having all the children we want? I would still do this every night, if she would. Is this normal? We are in our mid 30's, and have been married 3 years. After getting pregnant, Her sex drive just left....Can I get it back? How?

Well perhaps you will have to be patient, however, pamper her, make her feel absolutely beautiful and give her lots of aphrodisiacs to eat; such as a little chocolate, a little alcohol, oysters, strawberries, cranberries.

PS This is normal, her instinct is to look after her child, its all the changes in balance of her hormones. She could also be tired and stressed, because kids are a full time job.

Its called the M & M Theory= Marriage and Motherhood. Most men I have talked to Have this problem whether they have children or not. Whether it is 1-2 3 years after birth or later. Doesnt matter if the Husband is a trooper and gets up taking his turn with feedings and diaper changing. A man can pitch in with chores like dishes-cooking-laundry whatever to help her and still get turned down. When dating you can have Mutual sex in the car, Up against the stove-over the couch-in the floor-in the shower-on the front porch at night--THEN SUDDENLY-Oh NO its to early its too late-the Kids might Hear-someone might call on the Phone-every excuse Imaginable---- I dont know why this happens but a lot of men experience this with their wives or girlfriends. Then the women wonder why the Husband has thoughts and Ideas of looking else where. Sorry I cant help you Pal but your NOT ALONE!!!!!

There is alot that happens when a woman has children. It takes five years for hormones to get back to normal, not to mention the phycological things that happens relating to being a mom and moms having sex kind of thing. Then there is the physical demands on the woman. The very best thing you can do for her is to help out as much as you can so she doesn't carry all the load. Another thing you can do is not to be pushy at all. Frustrating I know. But just relax and help out and enjoy the other elements of your relationship now. Sex and intimacy will come once the hanging babies grow. By the time they are five things usually get good. Help out though. She needs it.

Consider the physiology involved. A womans body produces another human. Much of the womans body goes into the making of that new body. When the tiny little baby leaves the safety of the womb.. the baby takes alot of the mom with it. So..the moms body needs to recharge so to speak by still adding sufficient and nutritious foods and vitamins to replenish the toll done by the pregnancy. A womans body naturally ( all subconscious and is normal and is not changeable just because the husband says so ) will slow down when it comes to sex while her body recovers from the toll taken by the pregnancy.

When her libido returns..it will be because her body is recovering sufficiently to handle another pregnancy should that occur. It is not something you can force, sir. Please remember that she still loves you and needs you to BE her very loving husband.

Nope...that is not normal. I don't know how many children you have, but perhaps she's a little overwhelmed and tired alot??? That seems to be the main reason I hear for any women loosing their sex drive after children... do you pitch in and help her alot with the kids and daily chores??? If not... you need to start !!!

She's probably just tired. It's hard work looking after children. Treat her. Take over the looking after of the children for a while and lest her rest. Good luck.
