Why do women feel like they have to post there pictures on here to get validation of how they look? Have these young woman lost all confidents? Society has spent so much money to advertised what an "attractive" person should look like. I have browsed alot of photos and questions from woman asking if they are attractive, have they been lead a stray? Why dont people just learn to love themselves for who they are and stop trying to be something they are not. I am 5'6 170 short brown hair, dark brown eyes, big thighs, average butt, alittle pudge around my stomach and a size 9 shoes. And I am beautiful, I don't need for anyone to validate or rank me on my appearance. I know and love myself. When are we all going to learn stop looking at outer beauty and find true beauty within Love yourself, for just who you are.

i've asked similar qns as well. but it's not being obssessed nor fishing for compliments. i've asked more 'proper' qns before and the answers i've received was either not helping or nobody bothered to answer. but look at all those 'am i pretty' qns! the highest i've seen received more than 70 answers! if nobody bother to answer, then nobody would ask. for me, i like asking those 'shallow', 'stupid', 'lame' and 'gay' questions, because to me, it seems like the YA community enjoys answering such questions.

They aren't women but mostly young girls and like all young ones, need some assurance and affirmation to support their ideas or concepts about themselves and the world at large.I think it's lot better than asking.like,"Am I pregnant" ?By looking at a picture, one can have some idea about the beauty or otherwise of a person but not about pregnancy from a question. While denouncing them, even you have not been able to resist the temptation of describing about your short hair, dark brown eyes and some more.At their age, they aren't as sure of their looks or beauty as you are(confirmed by you).I am sure that when they reach half your age, they shall be a lot more confident and self assured,as it's not for nothing that we all call them a Smart generation(and they are).It takes experience and a lot of wisdom to differentiate between an outer and inner beauty and harmonize both and young one aren't anywhere near that right now.Forgive my directness if it offends you in anyway,as it's not intended.

I blame the media, as they portray women to be objects of desire. What girl doesn't want to feel beautiful and confident. It's very rare you see an unattractive, size 12+ in advertisements.

It's the media, and it's gotten to me as well. A little fun fact: Most of the models in magazines have an unhealthy BMI, and are underweight......
They're not healthy, yet the majority of people think they look great.
Hopefully with time, I will become as confident as you. You rock!

Maybe they think that they are not beautiful enough.
Or maybe someone told them that u don't loook beautiful.
I think women should have confident in themselves.
If they are not anyone can say to them anything and they would just believe them. What if they maybe joking. No one knows.

They are probably really creepy men in their 40's posting pics of cute young girls so they can get teenage boys to chat with them. Wow, I've watched too much dateline.

I don't know why they do it, but I find it extremely annoying. They seem vain and shallow.
