Depends on what "Grass" you are referring to. If you mean the monocotyledonous grass (flowering), they did no develop until the Cretaceous period in the Mesozoic era. Anything before would be during the paleozoic period, but it would not be anything you or I might call grass (ferns etc.).

Grass has been aaround since the beginning.
Evolutionists used to tell us that grass evolved after the dinosaurs died out. However, evidence has been found that grass did exist alongside dinosaurs.
