It's a bit early to say, and the competition is fierce.
But he looks like a very promising candidate to me.
Reneging on a clear commitment to a referendum on the EU constitution on the flimsiest of pretexts looks like one for the history books. That MUST be some kind of high point in bald political cynicism.
Or...maybe Brown is right. Every other head of state in the EU, Delors - the original sponsor of the constitution and us poor ignorant voters have got it wrong, and the treaty really is different from the constitution.
