I normally say Happy Christmas. I guess it is just a choice of words with which one is comfortable in saying.

Merry Christmas. It is a wish of peace. Nothing wrong with hearing that. If a jewish person wished me Happy Hannukah I wouldnt be offended. I heard someone in public say "Happy Holidays" yesterday and I felt like I was listening to a corporate PC greeting on TV. It sounded terrible. MERRY CHRISTMAS
