I'm on a website like myspace (but it isn't myspace so no blame on them, myspace is good) and you see there profiles that are racist, gay bashing, and sometimes they even do negationism (blood& honour and so on). How do you counter that and where do i have to go to get them removed or sanction them?

Write your objections in an email to the website owner. There must be a contact address for the website concerned. Alternatively, use your blog with an RSS feed to the Media in order that the Newspapers or TV get hold of your objections.

Myspace and all of the other social networking sites provide a free service and it's open to the general public as well as anyone else. If you come across a neo-nazi, simply just ignore them and do not talk to them if you are offended by their propaganda. Simply, just press the back button or X.

By you spending more than a second trying to get them in trouble, you've wasted your time on an individual who doesn't deserve your time. They will just make another account. By you giving them attention and letting them know that you are offended by them only fuels the fire. Place them on block or ignore if the site offers it, or simply just stop viewing their content.

Sites like MySpace have User Terms and Conditions against hate speech and/or promotion of violence.

i guess this is hard because people are entitled to their opinions. however i don't think opinions that incite violence and hate should be allowed. saying "hi I'm a Nazi" or "i hate...whatever it may be.." is one thing and we understand all that entails. but to actually get off on verbalising and abusing is another. so personally i think it should be removed and the offending numptys should be removed. preferably from society. but then that would be me being verbally abusive in the eyes of some!

The website should have some way to report offensive content.

remove them...maybe.
whoever is operating the website can set whatever policies they want.
hate groups can start their own websites
where they have more latitude to express their views.

With their VAST MEMBERSHIP they should be able to scrape up enough to get one of the websites you have to pay for.
