Personally, no.
Look over the answer intently. You may miss the real answer if you just rush to answer it.
It's not rocket science to answer a question if you have the answer you think that that person would appreciate hearing or in this case reading.
You also get to know a person by reading what they have to say. Take your time and read each one, you may find that you will have many opinions but very few solid verifiable answers.
And if all else fails, go with your instinct. Look deep inside yourself. I bet you'll find the answer to your question alot of times before you finish writing the question.

no! it will not be fair to other people who may have better answers than the first person . you should give best answer to people who you think is the best than all the answers . the 1st answer may be rotten but maybe the last is the charm . if you do that people will give up on everything . Don't ever be so selfish like that !

NO! The BEST answer is a thoughtful answer and a thoughtful answer will, by definition, take more time to compose, research, and write; along with correct punctuation and grammer.
If you want crap you'll get crap. Why do you THINK they give every question 3 DAYS to get all of the answers in?
THINK about it at least for a minute.

no, the first answer may not always be the right answer.. kind of like asking the question "what should i do this weekend" and the first answer being "go out and kill a few people, cut their bodies into pieces and make stew" unless it was a joke question, you would not want to chose this as your best answer... think about it...

You should give best answer to the person who has the best answer.

You should give the Best Answer to the person who you think did the most accurate and effective job of answering your question, regardless of where it lands in the queue. If everyone gives the same answer, it's probably the fairest thing to give it to the first person.

No.
That's crap.
You should at least wait until the first three days are up...if you don't like your answers, extend the question...if you do like an answer, pick it.
But you shouldn't pick the first person that answers.

Definitely not!
I've noticed when questions go to vote people just click on the first one no matter what it says. I guess they want points. How bloody lazy!!

i dont think so.
why wouldn't you just give it to the person who you think gave the best answer?
if you dont think anyone gave the best answer or no one gave any good answers- then dont give it to anyone!
