Have you told program which drive to use (if you have more
than one)
IS the drive a DVD MULTI or is it one that uses ONLY one of the formats ? (ie +R or -R)
When program are you using to burn ?
Is the disc a WRITABLE or a REWRITABLE disc ?

Need this info to have a hope to help you.

'Disc not loaded' means that the DVD burner does not recognise that you have even inserted a disc (full or empty, -R, +R, or +-RW) at all into the drive.
It usually means the drive is broken.

To test if your DVD burner still works at all, insert a store-bought movie disc in the drive.

If it does not show up in your computer, or shows up as blank when you open the drive letter in 'My Computer', then the laser on your DVD burner is broken.

You will need to buy a new one, or return it if it is still in warranty.

On the other hand it could simply be that you have a bad batch of discs, although the error for that is normally that it just will not write to them at all but will recognise them in the drive.

============
If it was the items you were trying to burn that was the problem, you would not even get the option to burn them in the first place with Nero (the burn button cannot be pressed).

If it was that you had the wrong type of disc in, it would tell you 'only supports media of type...'.

If it was that there was too much information to be burned for that size disc, it would say 'insert larger disc'.

If it was that there was stuff written partially on the disc in the first place, it would tell you to insert a blank disc instead.
