This school is abandoned and is also supposedly haunted. So one day me and my friends decided to investigate. We walk in
and everything is falling apart inside throughout the whole building. Because it has been abandoned for over 40+ yrs i believe. But it seems as every single thing is still there like all desk and gym equipment etc. We begin our investigation in the building comming in from the gym we walk through the halls we hear as if something is being dragged across the floor but as Inspecting every room we find nothing. When we near the room on the top floor we were looking through papers in a desk when i felt really weird and a min later we hear a deep long moan from down the hall and half scared to death we all ran out and back to the car.
what happened here for all of this stuff to be left behind and have no history of what happend

many abandoned buildings have equipment left behind. When they move, they remove anything that is deemed usable and everything else is left behind. Since you say the building is in disrepair, it sounds like anything could cause a noise. wind blowing paper across the floor, wind blowing through a broken window causing a moan. if your gonna enter a building with a lot of junk laying around and in disrepair, you are taking a risk with your health. you could be injured or be breathing cancer causing substances such as asbestos. could explain everything left in the building. You did not sa if you had obtained permission to be in the building either. if you did not, then you could have been charged with criminal trespass as well. Not to mention the fact that you were all on your own and nobody knew where you were. You guys approached this as an eerie building, so the mindset was already in place that the building was creepy.
Always get permission before entering private property.
Always let local law enforcement know your going to be there.
Always go in during the day to do a pre walk thru and check for any safety issues
And always try to research a site. Most older schools are abandoned due to asbestos contamination or some other building defect too costly to fix rather than just build a new building.

You ran back to the car, scared to death? You didn't do a very good job of investigating young man. Sounds to me like you had spooked yourselves before you ever entered the building.
How is it that so many abandoned buildings are haunted? Could it be that empty buildings can be spooky and this spookiness infects the people in the building? Could it be some imaginations are just running a bit wild?

Mean Kitty has it right; self-education, dedication and adherence to scientific protocol. It certainly helps to have some first-hand experience as a witness to convince yourself that this isn't fun-and-games thrills. A local group can get you started. Expect lots of boredom and rare moments of wow! Best wishes.
