Goes black and shuts down. Always have restart it....???Help-its going to the computer Doctors

Sounds like Windows Vista - Go to a Microsoft sight and get the updates - If it is not Vista, go to PROGRAMS then to ACCESSORIES then to SYSTEM TOOLS then to SYSTEM RESTORE - Follow the instructions to restore your computer to and earlier date. That may get rid of the problem.

I have exactly the same problem. At me, it says that a device driver caused the computer to shut down and it also says : the system has just recovered from a serious error. It is driving me crazy. Check out your device drivers, maybe it helps. Before it shuts down, I see the lights from my CD-Writer device turned on for a few seconds. Maybe you have the same problem. Good luck! Louise

Try to visit http://www.kaspersky.com and perform an online scanning to see whether you got virus.

it might be overheating. It might have a faulty power supply.
