haha i asked that myself when i first heard they were creating the Colbert Report. I thought they were going to be competing shows. but if you watch you'll see that they work together. Colbert report being conservative and the daily show being liberal. I think the Colbert Report is meant to make fun of the conservative view though. Both shows are just as funny i think.

If I were Stephan Colbert and I had the opportunity to gain as much fame and fortune as I did from Stewart's show he would be at the top of my Christmas card list.

Colbert used to work for Stewart, I assume they're friends.

yes stephen colbert worked for jon before stephen got his own show. stephen was a repoter.
