Ricki Lake lost the weight everybody...she was on Howard Stern recently, she's fine, a mother and now ex-wife.

Jenny Jones was canceled in 2003, I don't know the specific reason but I know Jenny was surprised by it especially given the respectable ratings. Ricki Lake decided herself not to renew her contract. Some stations were already contracted for a 12th season, but Ricki's contract was over in 2004 -- in 2000 she signed a 4 year deal with Sony. She wanted to spend more time with her family and was ready to move on to other things, including some roles in acting and getting more involved a career dealing with midwifery. Ricki has said that since the end of her show she's been asked every year to do another talk show, but so far nothing has been done... in fact I remember Ricki told CNN and Howard Stern earlier this year that she's not ruling out the possibility of NEVER doing a talk show again....

I'm surprised they lasted as long as they did. If I had to guess, I remember they both disappeared around the time Jerry Springer gained huge in popularity. They probably lost their audience, they came on around the same time. That is until Ricki Lake was moved to 2 in the morning. Fat chance getting any audience at that time. That's when all the good cartoons are on (Family Guy and such).
I think I saw Ricki Lake in a made-for-TV movie on Lifetime recently, but I don't remember the name of it. Couldn't tell you anything on Jenny Jones.

Ricki Lake is still on on ITV 2, but as for Jenny Jones, I don't know

Yes, Lake had children and Jones lost a boobie working at the corner of main street, therefore their shows got canceled.

Rikki recently lost a lot of weight and was in some magazines...
I think they canceled Jenny after a guy was killed after being on her show??I dont know if that was the reason or what??

The same thing that happened to Sally Jessy Raphael. All those shows got canceled.

writers strike ? never really watched that anyway..kind of like oprah ..if I see it on ..i run for the remote.
