I guess you are right. I once had a girlfriend whom I trusted so much. Believe me it took me two years to trust, not because she was acting shady but because I just couldn't do it in a flash of a sec. Well, after those two years, somethinh shady happened. I saw one text message that suggested she was flirting with another guy. The whole trust I had built in two years was swept away in jus a second. The paradox is really funny, years to buid but a sec to destroy

I don't quite agree.....
Building down trust is a very important issue for me. Because once trust has been shattered, the relationship is ended too. So, before I let this trust being destroyed, I examine carefully all parameters, all circumstances, all chances. I do not end relationships just in seconds. I give credit, I take my time. Not too much anyway!!! But, I try... And when finally I conclude that there is no hope, that the person is not trustworthy, I walk out the relationship with no guilt at all, no hard feelings. Because I know I have given all the chances possible and they proved wrong....

I agree. just like it take a long time to plan something and to make it work and in the other word it take a long time to build a house, castle, kingdom mention or whatever but I take only a few second and it can be destroy. so yes it take a long time and years to build up trust but in a matters of second it can be destroy. so I vote it for it and I agree100%.

Agree and disagree. I am an optimist, and therefore I believe in the good of man. I tend to trust easier (not years), but it only takes one thing to destroy that.

i agree...but i believe in both ways...a great act can build up trust in a flash of a moment... (although this is usually a rare occurance.)
sadly more often the other occurs... years of something ...destroyed in a few seconds
but i try to think optimistically that if something like that were to happen i could move on... cause life goes on. :]

I agree with the concept but not that it takes years to build trust.
