Tipping in a hotel will vary from person to person.

You should ALWAYS tip bell boys if they help you. Because they are providing a service that is considered an extra. I have heard that you should tip them about 5$, unless you have more then 5 bags, and then tip them maybe 2$ for each extra bag. Housekeeping depends. Some people tip them and some dont. I ussualy leave a few bucks the first day so I get good service. And then if the service is good, i may leave them 5 or something when I leave. But if its bad, dont feel you have to leave everything. Thats about it. And of course any bartenders or waiters that serve you in the hotel --like room service.. No need to tip a front desk or anyone like that.

I dont know about you.. but I personally think tipping has gotten out of control. i dont mind tipping waiters or bartenders, buts it not my fault that other people are underpaid.

Don't forget the housekeepers. They are underpaid so usually you leave a couple of buck per person per day. You should leave this every morning before you leave your room. Leave it on the dresser. Do this every day not just when you are checking out. You get a different housekeeper everyday so if you just leave when you checkout the last one will get the whole amount and they only cleaned one day. By doing this daily they will give a little extra like leaving more toiletries or towels ...

If you leave the room a shambles ... leave more to make it up to them because that puts them behind. These are the ones you never see but seem to do the most for you.

Depending on the service, you should tip the bell men(the people that carry your backs to the room) and room attendants ( for room service, etc.). Basically, anyone that services you caring or getting something gets tipped. That also includes dealers (win or lose), pool attendants, etc. Take it from me, I was born and raised in Vegas and I still live there and I have worked in the hotels doing some of these jobs. Have fun and Good Luck!

it fairly is actual as much as the customer's attention and how greeted visitor is with the motel service presented on the time... I paintings in front workplace of a 4* motel and that i've got gained as much as a $two hundred.00 tip from basically one shopper... now i bypass above and previous devoid of specting something decrease back. yet whether you basically get your luggage carriaged; you will possibly desire to tip a minimum of five money, how can anybody pay over $a thousand.00 money for a room yet tip a dollar or 2... it fairly is totally getto. The Bellmen earnings is extremely low in basic terms like waitress; they stay on the top...

doorman, valet, baggage, room service, limo drivers, taxi drivers and anyone who provides a personal service to you. Also anyone you want to show your appreciation for going the extra mile. 20% is a good tip for room service and dining. $5 is a decent tip, $10 is a great tip for everyone else. For Limo's $20 per hour is the average tip.

Remember this: You tip if you can, otherwise, if you can't, don't.
Normally you will tip: Valets ($1 or $2), Drink servers ($1/drink), Bar Tenders ($1/drink), House keeping (Up to $5/day of your stay).
